Tolling of the Boats at the Muskogee War Memorial Park: home of the USS Batfish
On Saturday, May 19th at 11 a.m., the United States Submarine Veterans Incorporated will be hosting the Tolling of the Boats, an event that honors each of the 52 submarines lost during World War II and the 11 submarines lost before World War II and post-World War II. Our Green Country group of submarine veterans honor their lost brethren by calling out their submarine’s name and tolling the bell in memory of the sailors who are on eternal patrol. Following the tolling of each boat, the Sub Vets will place a flag on the podium dedicated to those on eternal patrol.
The Tolling of the Boats is completely free, but donations are encouraged.
Additionally, Submarine Veterans will be on hand to give tours of the USS Batfish.
From 10 am – 11:00 a.m. the USS Batfish will be open for free Admission.
The USS Batfish will be closed from 11:00 a.m. – 12:15 p.m. during the ceremony to honor all lost submarines.
Paid Admission to the USS Batfish will resume at 12:30 p.m.
STICK AROUND AND POSSIBLY GET A TOUR BY A SUBMARINE VETERAN!
Admission rates are:
$7 for Adults • $5 for 62+ and retired military • $5 for students (13+) • $4 for kids 7-13. (Kids under 7 are admitted free with an adult).

OPEN: Wednesday – Saturday 10 a.m. – 6 p.m. | Sunday 1 p.m. – 6 p.m.
