Schnitzel Stampede

October 29, 2017 @ 1:00 pm - 4:00 pm

Free

Keep your eyes low to the ground and your ankles covered, because on Sunday, October 29, 2017, hundreds of dachshunds will descend upon Muskogee for the First Ever Schnitzel Stampede! From 1:00 to 4:00 pm, weenie dogs and their humans from all over the area will be running free south of downtown Muskogee at the Bark Park in an event destined to become the biggest sausage party in northeast Oklahoma.
Stampede attendees can expect an afternoon of doggie door prizes, doxie costume contest, and awards in categories including Longest Wiener, Fattest Wiener, Teeniest Weenie, and more. A professional photographer will be on hand, plus you can enjoy concessions (including hot dogs of course!), and perhaps find another doxie to add to your family from the LowRider Dachshund Rescue.
If you don’t have a dachshund, come on out anyway, enjoy a hot dog and see why weenie dogs are the most hilarious and joyful of pets.
There will be a cover charge of $5 per weenie dog and all humans get in free. The first 100 doxies thru the gate go home with a Treat Bag courtesy of Petco!
Register your weenie dog on Event Brite ahead of time and make an additional donation if you would like. Proceeds from this event will benefit the Bark Park as well as the City of Muskogee Animal Control spay/neuter program.
