Day of Action – Lake Area United Way

United Way Day of Action is an invitation for people and organizations around the world to LIVE UNITED and take action to address a variety of challenges. It is a day that we ask you to help us put our mission into action by volunteering to improve the building blocks for a good quality of life – education, financial stability, and health.

Lake Area United Way is partnering with OG&E for the first annual Day of Action on June 28, 2018. This year’s Day of Action will focus on Senior Health and Safety. LAUW will be recruiting volunteers to work on minor home repair projects on the Day of Action. OG&E will be providing home weatherization through the Silver Energy program, as well as volunteers and equipment.

A box fan drive will take place the day of the event and will be placed in the homes of seniors that need them the most. Lake Area United Way and OG&E will have a tent set up to take cash donations or donations of box fans.
