MAKE MUSIC MUSKOGEE 2018

Make Music Muskogee is a music celebration day in Muskogee, Oklahoma, held annually on June 21, the first day of summer! This day of making music takes place throughout the town on the summer solstice. This local event is part of Make Music Day held worldwide annually on June 21. This international music celebration started in France in 1982 and has spread to more than 750 cities in 120 countries. This day of free, live music performances is open to musicians of all ages, races, abilities, and genres. It is a day for unity in musical celebration and community outreach. The day’s grand finale is a huge group performance of “Okie from Muskogee” and/or “Oklahoma.”

This is the first official Make Music Day in Oklahoma, and Muskogee is the first and only city to participate for 2018!
