2nd Annual Schnitzel Stampede
October 28, 2018 @ 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm
Keep your eyes low to the ground and your ankles covered, because on Sunday, October 28, 2018, hundreds of dachshunds will descend upon Muskogee for the 2nd Annual Schnitzel Stampede! From 1:00 to 3:00 pm, weenie dogs and their humans from all over the area will be running free south of downtown Muskogee at the Bark Park which many have described as “the biggest sausage party in northeast Oklahoma.”
Stampede attendees can expect an afternoon of doggie door prizes, doxie costume contest, and awards in categories including Longest Wiener, Fattest Wiener, Teeniest Weenie, and more. A professional photographer will be on hand, plus you can enjoy food trucks (including hot dogs of course!) beginning at noon, and perhaps find another doxie to add to your family from the LowRider Dachshund Rescue.
If you don’t have a dachshund, come on out anyway, enjoy a hot dog and see why weenie dogs are the most hilarious and joyful of pets.
There will be a cover charge of $5 per weenie dog and all humans get in free.
Register your weenie dog here ahead of time and make an additional donation if you would like. Proceeds from this event will benefit the Bark Park, the City of Muskogee Animal Control spay/neuter program and Kids’ Space Child Advocacy Center.
